Disney Land was built in the 1950s and was a huge commercial success. Disney World opened in 1973 and has been the number one tourist attraction in the world for families ever since. About 40 million people each year visit Disney World. Universal Studios
Like Disney World, Universal Studios modeled their studio theme park after the one in California. As years went on, it became almost as big of an attraction as the Disney parks. Today, Universal Studios has two large theme park, a slew of hotels and entertainment areas. Many people take their Orlando vacation taking in the sights of Universal Studios just as they did with Disney and the competition of the two parks offers tourists more value for their money.
Sea World
Sea World is seeing Marine life at its best. In the 1970s, Sea World and The Magic Kingdom were the only two attractions in Orlando, until Disney started expanding and Universal moved in. Today, Sea World still attracts families who enjoy marine life and seeing Shamu, the Killer Whale at the sea shows that draw crowds of thousands every single day. The cost for Sea World is less than Disney World and the crowds are not as bad. This is something that you may want to take the day to see during your Orlando vacation.
